- Lock you action back.
- Remove your stock.
- Remove your Hand Guard.
- Use a flat surface uncluttered so you do not lose your small parts.
- Use a 9/64 Allen wrench to remove the four 8-40 Allen head screws from your gas block.
- It is best if you remove both screws on one side first which will take some tension off of the opposite side’s screws.
- Now take off the gas block from the barrel.
- You will now notice your factory bushing which also serves to hold the gas pipe in place and aligns the gas block on the barrel.
- Remove the factory gas bushing and install one of ours from the kit. We recommend starting with one of the middle sized bushings.
- Install the bushing and reassemble in reverse order the rifle as it was taken down. When re tightening your gas block screws 40 inch pounds is recommended!
- Now test fire your rifle. The main goal is to achieve 4 to 10 feet of ejection and reliable cycling of the rifle.
- If the rifle is still ejecting too far install a smaller ID gas bushing.
- If the rifle is Not ejecting far enough or will not cycle install a Larger ID gas bushing.
- If you need help or you have questions please do not hesitate to call or e mail us!
